Cold Open


After going through a first alpha, we decided to start doing incremental patches and trying to release content as we can get to it. There are still a lot of small fixes we know we have to make: namely settings, mappable inputs, fuller level layout. These small changes all take time, but we will be keeping them as a priority. Our plan is to try and tackle a chunk of new content and a small system fix in each patch. 


For this patch we have:

Introduced a more defined design with shaders leaning into a comic book superhero vibe

Revamped the tutorial to be more engaging

Remapped controls in line with feedback and fixed on screen notation

Adjusted game music and sound effects to make them more engaging and dynamic

Laid groundwork for VFX and visual/audio feedback in game


For next patch we intend to:

Set up basic settings for volume and graphics

Continue/Complete work on dynamic difficulty scalars and introduce levels

FIGURE OUT WHAT LIGHTING IS PLEASE GOD SAVE US

Expand VFX and audio/visual feedback

Improve UI clarity


Some of these things may not make it BUT we will try.
