Make Money Moves

Enter the world as an adventurer who makes money by slaying monsters and running errands for paying customers. Three years into your career the adventurer's guild threatens to terminate your license after many failed missions. With no other options and your back against the wall you're forced to undertake a dangerous mission that will decide your future.

Barren Grove is one of four prototype builds we have put together. As a new development team our goal is to find fun and creative ideas that we can execute on. Fire and Wind

Engage in combat with monsters using elemental stances unlocked through world exploration and quest completion. Collect gear to create unique builds and fight against powerful bosses. Find your path and create your own grove.

Level Through Exploration

Barren Grove leans heavily into world exploration and character interactions. This extends into the leveling system as we exchange the traditional level systems for an interaction and exploration-based system. This means new abilities and upgrades will come from talking to NPCs who can teach you those skills or exploring and finding new information scattered around the map.


MONSTERS MONSTERS MONSTERS

As you explore the world and discover new abilities you will have the chance to fight new monsters each with their own habits, weaknesses and hurdles to overcome. Information about how to defeat monsters will be scattered around the map in the form of books, NPC dialogue and more.
